A classic, herringbone bracelet made from Sterling Silver- hallmarked '925' and 'MD28V MEX'.
Looking up this hallmark, it denotes Mexican Silver, that the bracelet was made in Mexico City, the maker was the 28th smith to register there under a new assay office system in the early 1970s. The Silver is oxidised and yet still sinuous and shiny. I have given it a perfunctory clean but left some of the oxidisation as it is attractive as it is. The Silver is Intricately linked for a structured yet flat, smooth finish- versatile and easy for everyday wear. Secured with a lobster clasp. 7.5" in length. 6.5mm wide. Utterly unique.
Jewellery is best stored individually in a soft pouch or a box with compartments away from sunlight and where harder gemstones can’t scratch softer ones.
