PLATINUM BAGUETTE & BRILLIANT CUT CHANNEL SET DIAMOND ETERNITY RING
Christine Alexander Fine Jewellery
Some rings whisper. Some rings sparkle politely.
And then there are rings like this Platinum Diamond Eternity Ring, which quietly clear their throat and say, “Yes. I’m the important one.”
This is a seriously special piece. Channel set with 9 baguette-cut Diamonds, alternating with 8 brilliant-cut Diamonds, covering approximately 75% of the band, it delivers that intoxicating mix of vintage glamour and unapologetic presence. The contrast between the clean geometry of baguettes and the fire of brilliant cuts creates an endlessly eye-catching rhythm — elegant, powerful, and frankly rather hypnotic.
With a total Diamond weight of 1.08ct, this is not a dainty afterthought. And let’s talk about the band thickness — because from the top view, you can see it means business. This generous profile gives the ring real volume and substance, with a minimum weight of 5.5g of Platinum. In other words, it feels as important as it looks.

💎 Diamonds: A Brief (but Juicy) History Lesson
The word Diamond comes from the ancient Greek “adamas”, meaning invincible. Which feels apt.
Diamonds have the most tightly regulated standards of cut, colour and clarity of any gemstone, with the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) setting the benchmark worldwide. Two Diamonds of the same carat weight can vary wildly in value — largely depending on how well they’re cut. It’s the cut that unleashes that famous sparkle, thanks to Diamond’s extremely high refractive index and its unmistakable adamantine lustre.
Fun fact: until the late 1800s, Diamonds were genuinely rare and often left unfaceted because people believed cutting them would dull their magical powers. (Honestly, we were adorable.) It wasn’t until South African discoveries — and some very persuasive marketing — that Diamonds became the global obsession they are today.
The youngest Diamonds are still over 100 million years old, formed 90–120 miles beneath the Earth’s crust under conditions so hostile that only Peridot shares the bragging rights.
Diamond is the April birthstone and the traditional gift for a 60th wedding anniversary — which feels fitting, given how indestructible both Diamonds and long marriages tend to be.

It’s not a “maybe someday” ring.
It’s a forever, heirloom, I-meant-it ring — and it knows it.
