Lovely round faceted natural Peridot gemstone set in 9ct Gold with smooth rubover setting - no claws to catch on your clothing. This pendant is part of my 9ct Gold collection, simple yet reflective of Italian style.

3000 years ago, early Egyptian miners on Topazios  Island  (Now St. Johns Island) did not work in the daytime as they believed the Peridot was invisible in daylight. As it could absorb the sun’s rays, it could glow in the dark, therefore making it easier to discover. In addition to being the birthstone for August, it is associated with the star sign of  Capricorn and used to celebrate the 16th wedding anniversary.
