18CT WHITE GOLD OVAL BRILLIANT CUT PERIDOT & DIAMOND RING

This Peridot ring features a 1.45-carat centre stone that is complemented by brilliant white, sparkly Diamond stones. This design is unusual in that the Diamonds are incorporated into the central stone setting, and are visible from the side, effectively cradling the Peridot. The East-West setting of the stone is striking and lends a modern edge. 

The whole is set in cool 18ct White Gold, a fabulous and uncommon colour combination. This ring sits high on the finger, approx. 6mm proud.

I absolutely love this design and would like to sell a few so I can have one! It would make a brilliant modern engagement ring, or as I would wear it, an exquisite dress or cocktail ring.

The origin of the name Peridot is uncertain. The Middle English Dictionary's entry on Peridot includes several variations: Peridod, Peritot, Pelidod and Pilidod — other variants substitute y for the i's seen here.

White Gold is an alloy of Gold and at least one white metal (usually nickel, Silver, or Palladium). White gold is usually enhanced with Rhodium plating. To preserve this plating, avoid swimming in your jewellery as chlorine, in particular, can cause faster degradation. Chlorine is present in small amounts in tap water, so it is best to avoid getting your jewellery wet where possible.  It is a simple matter to have items re-plated.
