Pure Gold as it comes out of the ground is yellow in colour. When 9k Gold and 18k Gold are used in jewellery, it is alloyed with other metals to make them stronger and more affordable. It is therefore possible to change the appearance of the gold by using different types of alloys. 

Whilst  Silver or Palladium is used to change gold into White Gold, copper is normally used as an alloy to create Rose Gold (also known as Pink Gold or Red Gold).
