GOLD VERMEIL 3MM FLAT HERRINGBONE ANKLET

This flat herringbone ankle chain beautifully reflects the light and shines with your every move. Made from Sterling Silver with a coating of 18ct Yellow Gold, it will not irritate your skin. This herringbone chain bracelet is 3 mm wide. I'm wearing this piece as an everyday anklet, haven't removed it except for showering (see care notes below) and it's comfortable, lightweight and so so pretty! I've had many compliments.

Vermeil is the name given to Gold-plated Silver.  Depending on how the jewellery is cared for and what chemicals and elements it comes in contact with, Vermeil should retain its golden look for  0several years. However, over time, as with all plating, eventually the coating will begin to wear and the Silver underneath will be seen. Although you will be left with what is still a precious metal item, if you wish to preserve the plating, avoid household detergents, particularly chlorine which can be present in tap water; remove your jewellery before swimming, bathing or showering. It is a simple matter to have items re-plated.
