9CT GOLD CELTIC KNOTWORK BAND
Christine Alexander Fine Jewellery
Ladies, gents, and anyone who has ever felt spiritually connected to a good knot — may I present a ring with history, gravitas, and just the right amount of “I know who I am.”
This is a unisex openwork Celtic band in solid 9ct Gold, and frankly, it’s doing a lot. It works beautifully as a wedding band, looks excellent as a thumb ring, and doubles as a quiet but meaningful nod to heritage — yours, borrowed, or simply admired from afar. No gatekeeping here.
The openwork design keeps it light on the hand but heavy on symbolism, with interlacing knotwork that loops endlessly, because the Celts (and later the Norse) were big fans of eternity, continuity, and making patterns so clever they’d still be copied a thousand years later. This is not trend jewellery. This is 'I’ll still love this in 30 years' jewellery.
Available in sizes P–Z, and priced per size due to weight, because Gold — much like wisdom — increases in value as there’s more of it.
✨ The Gold & the Meaning
Celtic knotwork, as we know it today, evolved through Norse influences during the Viking occupation of the Western Isles (late 800s–1300s) — though the Romans were doodling clever knots long before anyone turned up in a longboat. These designs symbolise eternity, interconnectedness, and resilience, which feels wildly appropriate for a ring you might wear every single day of your life.
Gold, meanwhile, has always had main character energy. In medieval times, it was believed to be actively good for your health (honestly, I still support this theory). Over 98% of all Gold ever mined is still in circulation, meaning there’s a genuine chance that a tiny part of this ring was once worn by royalty, nobility, or, at the very least, someone who knew what they were doing.
💳 Layaway (Because Sensible Can Still Be Sparkly)
