SILVER 'FOLLOW YOUR HEART' PLATE NECKLACE

A discreet small Sterling Silver bar pendant in 925 Sterling Silver with a high-quality engraving of the words 'Follow your heart' and a puffy heart picked out in Gold Vermeil. A sweet sentimental piece, the chain measures 18" in total, the bar is 35mm x6mm.

Vermeil is the name given to Gold-plated Silver.  Depending on how the jewellery is cared for and what chemicals and elements it comes in contact with, Vermeil should retain its golden look for several years. However, over time, as with all plating, eventually the coating will begin to wear and the Silver underneath will be seen. Although you will be left with what is still a precious metal item, if you wish to preserve the plating, avoid household detergents, particularly chlorine which can be present in tap water; remove your jewellery before swimming, bathing or showering. It is a simple matter to have items re-plated.
