There are sentimental jewellery pieces, and then there are jewellery pieces that basically march into the room shouting “DAD!” while wearing a tiny tuxedo.

I absolutely love this vintage-style 9ct Yellow and White Gold Dad ring, because it manages to be sentimental without becoming remotely twee. The word DAD is proudly displayed across the 9mm-wide face, with each letter pavé set with sparkling Cubic Zirconia (CZ). So, essentially, your dad gets his own little illuminated billboard. As he should.

The shoulders have that wonderfully familiar Rolex-style design, with the White Gold sections and stone setting enhanced with Rhodium for additional durability, creating a lovely contrast against the Yellow Gold. The shank itself is plain, keeping the overall design masculine, substantial and properly wearable rather than looking as though it has escaped from a particularly enthusiastic jewellery box.

It is hand-finished in London, made from guaranteed 9ct Gold and carries full British hallmarks and a maker’s mark, so this isn't some mysterious shiny object of dubious ancestry. It's proper British-hallmarked jewellery, with all the reassurance that brings.

At an average weight of approximately 7 grams, it has a lovely substantial feel on the finger without being completely ridiculous. Although, obviously, if your dad enjoys a bit of ridiculous, I'm not here to judge.
