Their beauty is such that it's hard to believe they aren't a natural gemstone; but Rainbow Zirconia, like Mystic Topaz, is made by covering a gemstone with an iridescent coating that flashes beautiful rainbow colours with movement in the light. It is made from quality Sterling Silver with an elegant basket setting which is open-backed, allowing light to pass through and making the myriad colours even more exceptional.

With any coated stone, take care not to scratch it as although the stone may not be damaged (Cubic Zirconia is an 8 on the Mohs scale), the coating could be abraded.

Sterling Silver Jewellery pieces that are not worn for extended periods of time can corrode and tarnish as well. You must ensure your jewellery is clean and dry before storage; since any moisture, dirt, oils or other residual chemicals will accelerate the tarnishing. Clean silver after wearing with warm water and dry with a soft cloth, and store silver items in an airtight container with a piece of chalk or a silica pack; the little bags you find in shoe boxes etc.
