SILVER CROCUS BRACELET

Available is this dainty sterling silver bracelet. The length is 7.5". As with most fine things we buy, the Prince of Wales chain has been stress tested for the weight of the charm included. In this case, the prettiest little crocus flower, with a polished exterior, a frosted interior, and a stamen of Gold Vermeil. A lobster claw fastening keeps things secure.

Sterling Silver Jewellery pieces that are not worn for extended periods of time can corrode and tarnish as well. You must ensure your jewellery is clean and dry before storage; since any moisture, dirt, oils or other residual chemicals will accelerate the tarnishing. Clean silver after wearing with warm water and dry with a soft cloth, and store silver items in an airtight container with a piece of chalk or a silica pack; the little bags you find in shoe boxes etc.

Vermeil is the name given to Gold-plated Silver.  Depending on how the jewellery is cared for and what chemicals and elements it comes in contact with, Vermeil should retain its golden look for several years. However, over time, as with all plating, eventually the coating will begin to wear and the Silver underneath will be seen. Although you will be left with what is still a precious metal item, if you wish to preserve the plating, avoid household detergents, particularly chlorine which can be present in tap water; remove your jewellery before swimming, bathing or showering. It is a simple matter to have items re-plated.
