9CT GOLD BABIES SPANNER BANGLE

Crafted in solid 9ct Yellow Gold for a warm classic finish, this sweet little spanner (or wrench? The tools of my trade are rather smaller!) torc bangle is traditional, yet a modern and timeless piece perfect for any occasion.

45mm internal width, weight 5.5g. Your bangle will be presented in a fully recycled Christine Alexander branded gift box. Please state whether you require a pink or grey-black box.

Free hand engraving is available for this piece; please allow 10 days for delivery should you require this.

Also available in 9ct White Gold, and in both metals with Cubic Zirconia embellishment. Please enquire re: adult sizes.

Traditionally given to the children of bikers, petrolheads, mechanics, anyone in the motor trade as well as other tradesmen such as plumbers, carpenters and railway engineers. Trades often used to run in families and the spanner bangle was significant of the hopes of the family trade being continued by the child. But these are lovely quirky conversation-starter pieces and suitable for anyone who appreciates and loves collectable quality jewellery.

A torc, also spelt torq or torque, is a large rigid or stiff ring in metal, made either as a single piece or from strands twisted together. Many seem designed for near-permanent wear and in ancient times would have been difficult to remove. For the Iron Age Celts, the gold torc seems to have been a key object, identifying the wearer as a person of high rank, and many of the finest works of ancient Celtic art are torcs. Torc styles of neck-ring are found as part of the jewellery styles of various other cultures and periods.
