Jewellery Care – Because Even Purple Royalty Needs Looking After

Amethyst is a beautiful and relatively durable gemstone, but like all jewellery, it appreciates a little common sense.

I recommend removing your pendant before swimming, bathing, showering, exercising or doing anything involving enthusiastic quantities of chemicals. Perfume, hairspray, creams and cleaning products are also best kept away from your jewellery.

When you're not wearing it, store your Amethyst pendant somewhere safe, ideally in a soft pouch or jewellery box, away from harder gemstones that could scratch it.

And please don't leave it baking on a sunny windowsill for six months. Amethyst is gorgeous enough without asking it to develop a complicated relationship with the sun.
