9CT WHITE GOLD OVAL EMERALD AND DIAMOND HALO RING WITH DIAMOND SPLIT SHOULDERS

Gorgeous Emerald & Diamond ring handcrafted in 9ct White Gold. Four claw setting, with a halo of twenty Diamonds. The open split shoulders are also set with Diamonds. There are 49 Diamonds in total, with a total weight of .18cts. The elegant oval cut Emerald is .46cts; large enough to take centre stage and draw the eye, yet still a practical size so perfect for everyday wear.

White gold is usually enhanced with Rhodium plating. To preserve this plating, avoid swimming in your jewellery as chlorine, in particular, can cause faster degradation. Chlorine is present in small amounts in tap water, so it is best to avoid getting your jewellery wet where possible.  It is a simple matter to have items re-plated.

As with Peridot and Alexandrite, Emerald is only available in one colour: green. Mined over 4000 years ago in Egypt, during the reign of Pharaoh Sesostris III, this precious stone has been held in high regard since antiquity.  Emerald is believed to bring wisdom, true friendship and foresight into the future. Emerald was revered as a holy gemstone by the Incas and Aztecs and was associated with Venus, goddess of love and beauty, by the Romans. Emeralds are associated with the astrological sign of Taurus. It is the birthstone for May and the anniversary gemstone for the 20th, 35th and 55th year of marriage.
