9CT GOLD CUSHION ILLUSION SET DIAMOND SOLITAIRE

Regular price £325.00
9CT GOLD CUSHION ILLUSION SET DIAMOND SOLITAIRE

This quirky piece houses a solitary .06ct Diamond in an illusion setting. The 9ct White Gold setting appears to be square initially, but the edges are slightly convex, like a larger cushion cut stone, which the whole appears to be unless you look closely! Genius. The elegant shank is 9ct Yellow Gold. The perfect promise ring; you will one day furnish your partner's deserving ring finger with a fabulous rock, but alas, these are your salad days (or talk to me about layaway).

A LAYAWAY PLAN IS AVAILABLE. My layaway plan is 100% free and you don't have to apply or qualify for it. I simply require a 25-50% deposit then you will have up to six months to pay the remainder of the balance. Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly instalment payments are available. You can pick and choose your own payment plan to find an option that works for you. Your order will be shipped to you as soon as it is paid in full. Terms are flexible. Please contact me to initiate. PayPal required. You do not receive the item until fully paid for. See my Policies page for Ts&Cs.

Also available in 9ct White Gold. This ring is a limited run; sizes L, M and O only currently.

Diamonds are extremely rare, with concentrations of at most parts per billion in the source rock. Loose Diamonds are also found along existing and ancient shorelines, where they tend to accumulate because of their size and density. There are sources other than the Earth’s mantle for Diamonds; when meteorites strike the ground, the shock wave can produce high enough temperatures and pressures for microDiamonds and nanoDiamonds to form.  Popigai crater in Russia may have the world's largest Diamond deposit, estimated at trillions of carats, and formed by an asteroid impact.

This is a style of setting gemstones in rings, earrings, pendants and bracelets, whereby the gems are set into a metal or plating - such as Rhodium (a member of the Platinum family), where the colour of the metal is similar to the gemstone, thus maximising the aesthetic properties of the gem. Whilst traditionally Rhodium plating has been used on Yellow Gold on areas surrounding the Diamond to create an illusion of bigger, brighter Diamonds, today there are many other colours being used.
