A Little Golden History
The elegant pattern decorating these hoops is known as the Greek Key, or Meander, named after the winding Meander River in modern-day Turkey.
Dating back to around 700 BC, its continuous line has long symbolised eternity, unity, resilience and life's endless journey.
It has adorned ancient temples, pottery, mosaics and jewellery for centuries.
Turns out good design doesn't really go out of fashion—it just patiently waits for the rest of us to catch up.
Looking After Your Gold Vermeil
Gold Vermeil isn't simply "gold plated." It's a generous layer of Gold bonded over Sterling Silver, giving you the luxurious appearance of solid Gold without requiring you to remortgage the house.
Like all plated jewellery, though, it appreciates a little kindness.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto your jewellery, and wait until moisturisers and lotions have fully absorbed before putting it on. Remove your earrings before swimming, showering, exercising or embarking on any activity involving chlorine, excessive sweat or unexpected mud wrestling.
After wearing, simply wipe them gently with a soft cotton cloth to remove oils and dust. Avoid abrasive polishing cloths, as they can gradually wear away the Gold layer.
