RHODIUM PLATED SILVER OVAL CHAMPAGNE CUBIC ZIRCONIA HALO STUDS

Dainty, classic bridal stud earrings with a modern vintage style, featuring a lovely oval halo design. Created with petite oval-cut Champagne coloured Cubic Zirconia mounted in a Rhodium plated Silver setting, surrounded by a halo of pave-set stones to create a very elegant look.

Also available with centre stones of Emerald green, Ruby red, Sapphire blue, and clear Cubic Zirconia. Matching pendant necklaces and rings are also available.

Cubic Zirconia (CZ) is the cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide.  It should not be confused with Zircon, which is zirconium silicate and a natural gemstone. Because of its low cost, durability, and close visual likeness to Diamond, synthetic Cubic Zirconia has remained the most gemologically and economically important competitor for Diamonds since commercial production began in 1976.

A precious white metal from the Platinum family, Rhodium costs eight times more than pure gold (23 times more than 9ct Gold) and four times more than its relative Platinum! A very hard and scratch-resistant metal, it is sometimes used to plate silver, where it also prevents it from tarnishing. As it is whiter in appearance than White Gold and Platinum, it is often used as a coating and is sometimes referred to as Rhodium flashing. It is often electroplated on the shoulders or prongs of Yellow Gold rings, in order to create an illusion setting for Diamonds.

Different gemstones need different care – remember that many jewellery cleaning products can harm softer, porous or organic gems. If in doubt, a soft moist cloth is suitable for cleaning any gem.

Jewellery is best stored individually in a soft pouch or a box with compartments away from sunlight and where harder gemstones can’t scratch softer ones.
