9CT ROSE GOLD RECTANGULAR LOCKET - FREE ENGRAVING
Christine Alexander Fine Jewellery
I love lockets and am lucky enough to have a small heirloom one in my personal collection. Lockets really became popular in the Victorian era after the invention of photography in the mid-1800s. Prior to this period, lockets often held the hair of loved ones, ashes of the deceased, and even powders and poisons.
Pretty 9ct rose gold rectangular-shaped locket with a polished front and intricately designed edge. Holds two small pictures. Measures 31mm (including bale/loop)x18mm. The rear of the locket is plain frosted gold; free engraving with this piece, but please allow up to 10 days for delivery.
Shown for display purposes on our Rose Gold Vermeil Micro Teardrop chain; sold separately. I would recommend a 9ct Rose Gold chain rather than a vermeil one, but this was the only rose chain I had in at the time.
Also available in 9ct Yellow Gold.
Always take your jewellery off whenever you are doing activities that might cause damage. Remember that household cleaners and chlorine in swimming pools can damage many gems.
Jewellery is best stored individually in a soft pouch or a box with compartments away from sunlight and where harder gemstones can’t scratch softer ones.
