Queen Victoria (Victoria Regina) reigned from 1837 to 1901, the second longest-reigning monarch in British history. Her reign saw an unparalleled change in the United Kingdom and across the world as the Industrial Revolution started and the British Empire spread.
Every effort has been taken to clean up the coin, as well as the brass belcher chain and bow frontispiece, in a way that preserves the sovereign's portrait as well as much of the writing. This piece measures just 22mm x 40mm.
At over 120 years old, these coins are well worn – but this one shows Victoria clearly on the front and Brittania on the back. An opportunity to own a piece of history.
